Best Yard Games for Summer 2021
Warm weather is soon approaching and with outdoor gathering restrictions lifted, this summer is the perfect time to find a new outdoor game to enjoy with friends and family. We’ve summed up a list of top 5 outdoor games ( Saving the best for last) to play this summer.
Spikeball
Spikeball is an outdoor lawn game that you can easily transport, and gives you the flexibility to play with multiple players at any location. Although the game takes inspiration from volleyball, the equipment (Circular net and ball) is where there’s a significant difference. The circle-shaped net stands on foldable legs and can be easily set up at the beach, park, or even your backyard. Gameplay starts by bouncing a ball off the net and directing it toward your opponents. Your opponent then has three passes between them to send the ball back over to your team. The first team to 21 wins the game.
KanJam
Lawn Darts
Lawn Darts is a lawn game for two players or teams. The game concept is to toss the darts underhand toward a horizontal ground target, where the weighted end hits first and sticks into the ground—landing anywhere within the ring scores a point. Players stand with one member from each team at each end and toss the darts to a target about 35 feet away. Cancellation scoring applies, so if players from either team land the same number of darts in the target, the scores cancel each other. Scores are based on darts in the ring and darts closer to the ring than any opposing team's darts, and the first team to 21 wins.
CROSSNET Volleyball Game Set
CROSSNET Volleyball Game Set is the perfect twist to the classic game of volleyball. The setup is quick and easy and suitable for sand, grass, or indoor play. Play begins with one player serving from his/her corner. The serve can be to any of the other three players, and each player gets one attempt to set or bump the ball to another player without the ball hitting the ground. One major twist to cross net is although spiking the ball is permitted, spiking to return the initial serve is not allowed. This is a fun and high-energy game to play with friends if you are looking for some great outdoor fun and physical activity.
PIPFALL
PIPFALL is a brand-new way to play with a cornhole board! Players throw dice and score points based on the number of pips – the dots on the dice – that land face-up on the board. Be careful! Landing a "dice in the hole" with PIPFALL subtracts points. If you've already got cornhole boards, all you need is the PIPFALL dice! There are many ways to play, but the most common way is a classic game to 21 where rules for cancellation scoring applies.
